Alumni associations have been one of the pillars and strength of Sainik Schools and have been helping financially and building an atmosphere of Bon-homie/healthy bonding between the students and ex-students of Sainik Schools. Out of 33 existing Sainik Schools, being run by Sainik Schools Society under the erstwhile model, 23 older schools have Alumni Associations.
Sainik Schools Society takes immense pride in its illustrious members of Alumni Association and promotes them by way of School interaction Programmes. The present arrangement is working well for the betterment of the Sainik Schools and their various facets in general.
This information was given by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt in a written reply to Shri S Muniswamy in Lok Sabha today.
