Cantonment Old Grant (Regulation) Bill 2022

A proposal for creating a mechanism to regulate Old grant properties in Cantonment areas by replacing the existing regulations governing such properties is under consideration of the Government. The suggestions received from public representatives and general public from time to time were duly considered while formulating the proposed mechanism. No suggestions/ objections have been separately invited in instant case.
A policy for regulating extension/renewal of expired leases has been issued by the Government vide Ministry of Defence letter dated 10.03.2017. The policy has since been extended from time to time, and is presently valid upto 31.12.2022.
This information was given by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt in a written reply to Shri Krupal Balaji Tumane in Lok Sabha today.
