Aptech Limited has inked a one of a kind strategic partnership between its Malaysian subsidiary AGLSM and Vancouver Centre for Entertainment Arts at Langara College, Vancouver, Canada offering students from its education brands – Arena Animation & Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) an opportunity to get an Advanced International Diploma from Vancouver CEA through a pathway facility.

Students newly enrolling, pursuing, or completed a foundation program from either Arena Animation or MAAC recently, become eligible to apply at the CEA for a 2-year Advanced Diploma course in Animation, VFX or Game Design. As an international student at this prestigious institute, the student is eligible to apply for a 3-year post-graduation work permit (PGWP) in Canada.

Vancouver, a major city in Canada also called the ‘Hollywood North’ is the 3rd largest Film & TV production centre in North America. In the heart of Vancouver lies ‘Vancouver Centre for Entertainment Arts’, offering students access to the thriving entertainment industry with over 95+ Animation & Gaming studios in Vancouver, BC Canada. With the world’s leading studios such as Sony Pictures Imageworks, ILM, MPC, Double Negative, DHX Media, Animal Logic & Bardel Entertainment based out of Vancouver, it is truly a dream destination for students looking at a career progression in the field of creative arts/ animation or VFX.

Considering the top-notch quality of work presented by the creative wizards of Arena Animation & Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics right with their foundation or a bridge course, this strategic partnership of Aptech Limited with the CEA brings exclusive benefits to its students. These include a reduction of 30% on the applicable tuition fees as a special scholarship and an eligibility to apply for a 3 year Post Graduate work permit (PGWP). Along with it, comes a host of other benefits such as an online learning option for 1 semester in the upcoming January 2021 intake due to the ongoing pandemic and eligibility of a fast-track for permanent residency for students aspiring to settle in Canada.

Dr. Anil Pant, Managing Director and CEO, Aptech Ltd said, “We are absolutely thrilled to bring this strategic alliance with the Vancouver Centre for Entertainment Arts, Canada to our animation & VFX students looking to have a strong career progression. I think it’s safe to call it a ticket to ‘Hollywood North’. According to PWC, Canadian Media and Entertainment revenue is expected to be $58 Billion by 2023. The industry generates more than 40 thousand jobs in Vancouver alone while the video gaming industry particularly is among the best in the world with around 50 thousand employees. Canada houses some of the world’s top production houses and studios having delivered on some marquee and fine work of cinematic representation.”

He added, “At Aptech across all our centers in India and globally, we aim to make our students not just job-ready but have a holistic career progression in place for students keen on seeking global exposure.  This alliance is strategic in nature given that the CEA is the largest university transfer program in Canada with a proven record of student success with 3 student intakes each year offering a wide selection of courses each term. We are confident that students will benefit from this partnership and we are happy to counsel and guide them end to end.”

Commenting on this partnership, Peter Walsh, Campus Director at the CEA, said, “We are extremely excited to partner with Aptech Limited and its Malaysian subsidiary – AGLSM. This strategic partnership is the coming together of two global leaders in training & education with a common objective to transform student careers.”
