Pune: Three men on a scooter late on Friday night snatched a smartphone worth Rs 10,000 from a 23-year-old man along the service road of Katraj-Dehu Road bypass in Bavdhan.
A case of robbery has been registered with the Hinjewadi police on Saturday.
An officer from the Hinjewadi police said that the complainant is a resident of Bavdhan and works in Mumbai. “On Friday around 11.50pm, he reached Pune from Mumbai by bus and deboarded in Bavdhan,” the officer said.
The complainant called his mother and requested her to pick him up. “While he was waiting for her, three men on a scooter stopped near him. One of them snatched his smartphone and they fled towards Wakad,” the officer said.
A case of robbery has been registered against the unknown trio, the officer said.
