• New Echo companion devices let you amplify or stream music to your existing home audio system
Bangalore, India, April 15, 2019 : Amazon announced that Echo Link and Echo Link Amp are available to customers in India. Echo Link and Echo Link Amp are Echo companion devices that deliver high fidelity streaming music to your stereo system. Now you can upgrade your stereo system and use Alexa with a compatible Echo device to voice control music selection, volume, and playback. Both products are available for pre-order from today.
Echo Link connects streaming music to your amp, receiver, or headphones
Echo Link connects to a receiver, an amplifier or directly to powered speakers using one of the on-device analog, optical, or coaxial output jacks. It also has a subwoofer line-output with adjustable crossover frequency, and a 3.5mm amplified headphone jack. Additionally, Echo Link has analog, optical, and coaxial line-inputs to connect and play music from another audio component, like a CD player, amplified turntable or MP3 player.
Echo Link Amp with built-in amplifier connects directly to passive speakers
Echo Link Amp has the same features and functionality as the Echo Link plus a built-in 60W per channel stereo amplifier with left-right speaker binding posts for wiring directly to non-powered speakers. Both Echo Link and Echo Link Amp have volume knobs for granular control and an Ethernet port for reliable connectivity.

Create speaker groups throughout your home and streaming hi-fi music
Once you set up your Echo Link or Echo Link Amp as the preferred speaker in a speaker group, simply use another Echo device with a microphone in the same group to ask Alexa to play your favorite music or turn the volume up. Plus, when connected to Echo Link or Echo Link Amp, your existing audio system can be added to a Multi-Room Music group for streaming music playback in multiple rooms. You can even create an everywhere group to hear music throughout your entire home. Once set up, simply say; “Alexa, play music everywhere.” You can also control music playback on Echo Link or Echo Link Amp through the Alexa app.
Echo Link will be available for ₹19,999, and Echo Link Amp will be available for ₹29,999. Echo Link will begin shipping to customers from next week, while Echo Link Amp will start to reach customers from early next month.
