Romance, Cinema and Special day Wishes; most preferred amongst ShareChat Telugu users- reveals #ShareChatTrendz report

Hyderabad, November 18, 2018: ShareChat, India’s #1 regional social media app,  today released its #ShareChatTrendz report for the Telugu users on their platform. The report analyses user generated content and trends on ShareChat amongst users who prefer Telugu as the language. 

The report highlights the growing popularity of the Telugu content amongst its registered users from locations like Ranga Reddy- leading with 11.35% of the total monthly active users, East Godavari, Telangana, Yanam, Guntur, Karnatka, Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad and Nalhonda etc. The app has 4.2 million monthly active Telugu users.

The Reign of Romance

Romance is no doubt the largest consumed genre of content amongst millennials. The data reveals that content related to romance and relationships are the most popular on ShareChat amongst Telugu users. Over 7 million posts related to love and romance were generated by the users in Telugu.

Crazy for Cinema

Cinema & TV are most consumed genre of content amongst Telugu users. Over 4 million posts around English songs, latest movie videos, DJ remixes are the most talked about genres amongst ShareChat Telugu users. With some of the very renowned Tollywood celebrities joining the platform and sharing their personal lives and participating in exciting challenge, the cinema craze on the platform has doubled. Tollywood celebrities such as Vishnu Priya, Hebbah Patel, Sravana Bhargavi, Adit Arun, Allu Sirish, Rolla Rida are few of the names on ShareChat interacting with audiences.

Wishes galore on the ShareChat app

Of the top content in Telugu language, users are more inclined towards posting special day wishes, morning and night wishes, romantic quotes etc. with over 30 lac post shares per month.
