Dan Lipsky pitched five innings of two-run ball, striking out 11 along the way to lift Morris Tech to an 8-3 victory over Newark Tech in NJTAC Groups 1 & 2 semifinal action in Newark.
Five runs in the seventh broke open a close game for the surging Red Devils, who have won four in a row and sit at 9-9 on the season. Eddie Lamperti helped provide some offense for the winners, homering and driving in two on the day. Jack Graham also drove in two for Morris Tech.
