Google users faced disruptions in the last few hours as the ‘images’ section was said to have reflected a ‘500 error’. “The server encountered an error and could not complete your request,” was the message that showed up. According to downdetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services, “user reports indicated Google having problems since 9:12 PM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time)”.
Users immediately flooded Twitter with #Googledown tweets. Some questioned “how are we supposed to google that ‘google is down”.

Another asked – “Has @Google ever been down before? Is the world ending? Should we be worried?”
Google has not yet issued a statement on this.
