We are fast approaching the end of the second week in May, and we have an exciting line-up of launches in the technology sector. From mobile devices and laptops to other gadgets, here’s a list of major launches in the tech world.

Google Wallet

Google, on May 8, launched Google Wallet, which is available for download on the Google Play Store. Google Wallet has partnered with 20 brands, including PVR & INOX, Air India, Indigo, Flipkart, Pine Labs, Kochi Metro, and Abhibus, for the best user experience.

It is designed with a primary focus on organising digital documents for various purposes, including travel, movies, event alerts, gift cards, and even car keys.

M4 iPad Pro

Apple has unveiled the much-awaited iPad Pro, featuring the groundbreaking M4 chip and Ultra Retina XDR display. The latest addition is available in two sizes: a 13-inch model and an 11-inch model. It comes with a base storage of 256 GB and is priced at 99,990.

The new iPad Pro features a new thin and light design, a breakthrough Ultra Retina XDR display, and outrageously fast M4 performance with powerful AI capabilities.

M2 iPad Air

Apple unveiled the latest iPad Air at its ‘Let Loose’ event earlier this week. The new iPad Air starts at ₹59,900 and has an 11-inch display. For the first time, it also comes in a 13-inch display variant, which starts at ₹79,900. The new Air is also equipped with the M2 chipset, which has an 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores and comes with 10 GPU cores.

Google Pixel 8a

Google has launched its latest smartphone, the Pixel 8a, this week, starting at ₹52,999. The smartphone is powered by Google’s newest Tensor G3 chip and promises to bring premium artificial intelligence (AI) features and durability into an affordable price bracket.

The device is available in four colours Aloe, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain, and also offers a larger storage option of 256GB.

Apple Pencil Pro

Apple has unveiled the highly anticipated and advanced Apple Pencil Pro. Priced at ₹11,990, it brings a host of new capabilities to the iPad Pro experience. The Apple Pencil Pro also supports Find My for the first time, allowing users to easily locate it if misplaced.

Apple Magic Keyboard

The all-new Magic Keyboard, priced at ₹29,900 for the 11-inch model and ₹33,900 for the 13-inch model designed for the new iPad Pro, offers enhanced portability and versatility. This also aims for increased durability with an aluminium build and a more laptop-like appearance.

ASUS SmartO MD200 Mouse

ASUS has unveiled a wireless mouse ASUS MD200 offering impressive battery life, effortless multi-device connectivity, and comfortable ergonomics for a productive and portable experience. The ASUS MD200 resides in the higher-priced segment for wireless mouse, at ₹2,499.

Acer TravelLite laptop

PC maker Acer introduced the TravelLite laptop, which is specially designed for businesses. The laptop features a 14-inch FHD Antiglare TFT LCD with a 180-degree hinge and an aluminium chassis and starts at ₹34,990. It comes with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
