While speaking to Padmaja Joshi, Senior Executive Editor, Times Now, Kriti shared, “I always believed that everyone has their own journey and their own pressures. My first film was Heropanti which was with a star kid Tiger Shroff. He had the pressure of being compared to his father, I had the pressure that people notice me and know my name. There are different pressures that everyone goes through and eventually talent is what sticks through.”

She continued, “Yes, as an outsider it takes a while for people to know your name, to match your name to your face. For the longest time, people were like ‘arey vo Tiger Shroff ki film mein aayi thi’. The kids of Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, my Bareilly Ki Barfi director, used to call me ‘Tiger Didi’ back then. It takes a while for people to register who you are when you come from a non-film background but if you keep at it, you start feeling like an insider. You have had a body of work which justifies why you are here.”
