
MARKED TREE — Arkansas State University-Newport (ASUN) celebrated the future of automotive excellence by hosting its 24th Annual High School Automotive Service Technology Competition on March 14. The event, a key preparation stage for the Skills USA State Conference, showcased the talents of twenty-three students from across Northeast Arkansas, all of whom are attendees of the Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center (NEACTC) and competed for scholarships and the prestigious title of top automotive service technician.
The competition took place at the ASUN Marked Tree campus, drawing participants from Greene County Tech, Jonesboro High School, Valley View, Nettleton, Brookland, and Bay. These students demonstrated their advanced skills in automotive service technology, contending for top honors and scholarship awards totaling $3,250.
