DevFest Hyderabad 2026, organised by Google Developer Groups (GDG) Hyderabad, bringing together developers, startups, entrepreneurs and technology leaders to explore the future of technology and innovation.
Hyderabad, Telangana, India – October 24, 2026 – Google Developer Group (GDG) Hyderabad has successfully wrapped up DevFest 2026 at the JRC Convention & Trade Fairs, cementing its status as the region’s largest on-ground developer conference. The monumental event brought together over 3,000 students, software developers, engineers, architects, founders, and students across four dedicated tracks focusing on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and Mobile innovation. The conference actively advanced the state’s technology vision and workforce upskilling initiatives.
A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of Telangana’s AI Minister, the first pre-AGI avatar of Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, marking its first-ever live on-stage launch. The initiative was developed by TensorGo using HumAIn, an enterprise-grade platform for deploying pre-AGI AI teammates, under the guidance of Shri Sai Krishna, IT Advisor to the ITEC Minister, Government of Telangana. Telangana’s AI Minister marks a new approach to citizen engagement, demonstrating how emerging AI technologies can create new ways for people to interact with public leadership.
The event also featured the D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, who addressed the gathering through a keynote on “Innovation at Scale.”
D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana said, It was great to see over 3,300 developers, students, founders and young innovators come together in Hyderabad, all curious about what technology can do next. The enthusiasm of this community is what makes events like these so special. And one moment I didn’t quite see coming was the launch of my AI avatar — Telangana’s AI Minister!. Powered by TensorGo’s HumAIn, it took questions from Gen Z in both Telugu and English. Seeing this happen live on stage was quite something. We’re only getting started, and I’m excited about the possibilities ahead, especially how AI can help us connect with citizens in new ways. A big shoutout to the GDG Hyderabad team and everyone who made DevFest such a great experience. Keep the ideas coming, keep building, and keep surprising us!
He further added, it was great to interact with the developer community and exchange ideas on the growing role of AI and its real-world applications. Our government is committed to strengthening Telangana’s IT sector, supporting startups and creating more job opportunities for our youth. We will continue to support innovation and the growth of new technologies in Telangana.
