After taking AI-native storytelling from television towards theatrical cinema, Galleri5 brings filmmakers and technology leaders together in Hyderabad to build the next generation of filmmaking technology.

Hyderabad, October 10, 2026: At NXTinAI, Galleri5 AI Studio, part of Collective Artists Network, brought together filmmakers, producers, creators and technology leaders at Park Hyatt Hyderabad to demonstrate the technology being built to take AI from experimentation into professional, long-form and theatrical production.

AI-generated video has largely lived on phones, social feeds and experimental projects. Galleri5 believes its next screen is the biggest one: the cinema screen and has already begun making that transition. Its AI technology stack powered Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh for Star Plus and JioHotstar, taking AI-native storytelling into mainstream television. It is now powering Chiranjeevi Hanuman with Star Studio18, a full-length AI feature being developed for theatrical release, with a teaser from the film already having played on cinema screens.

NXTinAI marks the next stage of that journey: building the technology required to make AI work at the scale, quality and ambition of cinema. The event showcased capabilities spanning 4K cinematic output, AI-powered VFX, AI actors and avatars, consistent characters and worlds, live-action-to-AI workflows, agentic filmmaking and production pipelines for long-form entertainment.

Going beyond individual AI models or isolated demonstrations, the focus was on what happens when these technologies become part of the filmmaking process, taking a project from idea and script through visual development, character creation, shot design, VFX and post-production, towards the cinema screen.

Hyderabad was a deliberate choice. The city brings together one of India’s largest filmmaking ecosystems with one of its strongest technology communities. Galleri5’s ambition is to bring those two worlds closer and build technology that can be used by the wider creative industry.

Vijay Subramaniam, Founder & Group CEO, Collective Artists Network, said, “Every generation of storytellers gets a new technology that changes what they can imagine and create. We believe AI is one of those shifts. Our bet on Galleri5 was never about making AI content for the internet. It was about what happens when this technology moves into television, films and ultimately into bigger screens and a lower barrier to entry for creators. India has the talent, stories and filmmaking culture to build and lead this next chapter of entertainment technology.”

Rahul Regulapati, Founder & CEO, Galleri5 and Partner at Collective Artists Network, said, “AI is moving into theatrical filmmaking. We have already taken AI-native storytelling to television and AI film work to cinema screens. The next challenge is building the technology to make full-length cinematic production possible at scale. 4K, VFX, consistent characters, AI actors and agentic production are all pieces of that problem. NXTinAI brings those pieces together and shows what happens when AI moves from experimentation into real production. We believe a new way of making movies is beginning, and we want India to be at the centre of it.”

A central part of NXTinAI was the Galleri5 AI Experience Centre, where filmmakers and creators could work directly with the technology across visual development, character creation, AI VFX, avatars, cinematic video and filmmaking workflows.

Galleri5’s technology is being built from real production. The challenges encountered while working across television, films, advertising and long-form entertainment feed directly into the development of new workflows and tools within Galleri5 AI Studio. The result is technology designed not simply to generate content, but to solve the complex creative and production problems involved in making it.
