ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – On Friday, 27 teachers across the Dougherty County School District were recognized for their efforts to learn the latest Apple technology and use it in their classrooms.
This is the second year that each student within the Dougherty County School district has been paired with an iPad and MacBook.
The goal of the Apple partnership is to train teachers to meet students’ needs by using advanced technology.
“We have a team of individuals who that is what they do. They work to support teachers with integrated technology, our instructional support specialist. So, we are constantly training and learning behind the scenes to keep abreast of all the latest technology so that we can provide the support teachers need. To be able to be effective and help our students reach their best potential,” said Nikki Dydell, Director of School Improvement.
This is just the beginning of the Apple Teacher Showcase. The organizers are already planning to make this an annual event, promising even more exciting technology initiatives in the future.
