At the end of February I met up with Y., a close friend who works at an American startup that has a team in Israel. We sat in the company’s offices at a coworking complex in central Tel Aviv, overlooking the iconic Azrieli towers. Downstairs, as people finished their day, the upscale restaurants began to fill up.
