To foster greater awareness surrounding cyber threats, the Future Crime Summit 2024 was convened in Delhi.
New Delhi: The Future Crime Research Foundation and AIIDE COe of IIT Kanpur organised a two-day summit, ‘Future Crime Summit 2024’, in Delhi. The summit witnessed participation from cyber experts, government officials, legal specialists and ethical hackers.
In response to the rising cases of cybercrimes, India has introduced domestically developed forensic tools, aimed at enhancing the nation’s capability to combat cyber threats.
‘Best Digital Forensics Tool’ award received by ProDiscover
The award for the ‘Best Digital Forensics Tool’ was bagged by ProDiscover. It is the one and only Make-In-India forensics tool. Stressing that government agencies also take help from ProDiscover, CEo Nripul Rao said that cases involving crimes related to cryptocurrency or cyber fraud often require specialised software for resolution.

Navigating cybersecurity challenges: Insights from experts
Discussions centred on proactive measures to mitigate cyber risks. Shailendra Vikram Singh, former Cyber Security Officer at the Ministry of Home Affairs, spoke about the dual nature of technology, underscoring the challenge of instilling trust amidst escalating cyber threats. ACP Cyber Crime Sanjay Kumar of Delhi Police shed light on the modus operandi of fraud calls facilitated through the Telegram app.
“The agency also seeks help from our company for cyber security related matters. We work for everyone, government and private,” said Retired Lieutenant Colonel Dr Santosh Khadsare, eSec Forte Technologies.
“Here in the summit, I talked about the latest tools and technologies of cyber forensics. The advent of Make in India technology is helping a lot in forensics,” Dr Nilay Mistry, Associate Professor, National Forensic Science University
“Success is achieved only when everyone works together to stop cyber crimes. That’s why we have invited everyone here. Everyone sat on one stage and brainstorming took place. Ethical hackers have also been invited to this program. They are also giving information here,” said Triveni Singh, Retired SP Cyber Crime, Uttar Pradesh
